Troy Bennett’s Graveyard Lips is now set to release his new studio album, dubbed “(Bare)Ly Existing,” a nine-track collection that borrows inspiration from the ups and downs of life, including the tumultuous mental experiences.
Deeply sentimental, soulful, and full of emotion, each track in this album differs from the others, but they all share a common denomination: perception, appeal, impact, and replay value.
“Pale Room” features a thoughtful guitar tone that sets the tone for this track, followed closely by Troy’s stylistic vocals that touch your heart and soul. He is soulful, and the way he wears his heart on his sleeve to allow the listener to find their own story within the profoundly emotional lyrics is quite phenomenal.
“STAY” is another bona fide standout from the collection that features a mellow guitar intro that lays the foundation before Troy breathes life into the lyrical narrative with his golden voice that holds such faultless power. I love how, as the track progresses, there is that hypnotic melodic switch as the textural, vibrant melody takes over, carrying that melodic edge of a rock, primarily via the intensively hit electric guitars.
