Great to have you on Xttrawave.

Hey. My name is Eva Constance. I am from Hartford, Connecticut but I reside in South Florida. I got my name through different variations over time but happily settled with Eva Constance. Eva means living or life, and Constance means constant, so together I put it as living life constantly.

Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?

“Forget Me”, which is my latest release came about in about 10 minutes of writing. I did not have an idea about what I was writing or the idea really until the entire song was written. It’s interesting what your mind is trying to tell/show you. I believe that this song was inspired by my past in many ways, and I didn’t realize it until it was all on paper. This single is an anthem about making sure that the people who walked out of your life or those who haven’t treated you right will remember you for all the good you’ve done for them. To me, this song means everything because I’ve been through so much growing up including bullying and mental abuse, among other things. My point is that I want others to use this song and remember that it is ok to fall and feel, but you need to get back up and show the people who left you, doubted you, and hurt you that you are a person, a somebody, and you will prove that you are a great and very important person in this world no matter what anyone says about it. So, yeah, this is MY anthem to those who left, hurt, and doubted me. I am someone and I can do anything I put my mind to, and it seems to be working out very well for me.

Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?

My biggest musical influences (not limiting myself to the past though), go back to when I was a child and some when I wasn’t even born yet. My parents played a lot of music from their childhood and teenage years, so it rubbed off on me. I get some of my inspirations from artists such as Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, Cassie, Destiny’s Child, 3LW, TLC, Aaliyah, Ciara, among others. I do love old school jams a lot and I think as far as good collaborations go in the era we are in now, I feel that I would want to do a collaboration with Ella Mai, H.E.R., Summer Walker, Kehlani, DJ Khalid, among many others. I have a long list and hopefully one day I’ll get to work with each of these great and talented artists.

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

Well, I had a plan set for an EP, but I think I should build my music game a bit more before I put out an EP. I also want it to be the best EP it can be, so I am taking my time on it and making a new plan with all new music and a great vibe as with my music I’ve already released. Fans are really starting to dig the music and style so I’m flowing with it. I also love it myself. I do, however, have a lot of new singles coming out and I am so hyped because they are all good jams to bop to and I can’t wait for my fans to hear them. I am also finishing up my video to my second single “Tangler”, along with my final video shoots for my third single “Forget Me” in my hometown of Hartford, Connecticut. I might just release them together but there’s no telling yet.
