1. Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican singer and rapper. He’s become a dominant voice in Latin trap and a general trendsetter for música urbana since arriving on the scene in 2016. He gained prominence as a trap singer when his song ‘Diles’ caught the attention of DJ Luian of ‘Hear This Music.’ Through ‘Hear This Music,’ Bad Bunny started collaborating with other popular musicians and soon became a well-known artist. Many of his songs like ‘Sensualidad,’ ‘Soy Peor,’ and ‘Tú No Metes Cabra’ have made it to the list of ‘Hot Latin Songs’ chart. In 2020, he became the first non-English language act to be Spotify’s most streamed artist of the year and achieved the same record again in 2021.

2. Daddy Yankee
Daddy Yankee is the leading voice in Puerto Rican reggaetón, with a blend of bomba, salsa, reggae, and hip-hop . Before the fame, his father was known as a percussionist and his mother a manicurist. Under the influence of an island that often identified itself with music and a musical family, he started from a very young age and was attracted to improvisation. When he was a teenager he listened to Hip-hop in Spanish, his idol was Vico C, what he was most passionate about were his lyrics with a conscious message. His first commercially successful international album Barrio Fino, made him an international star after a decade of struggle. 3. Gera MX
Mexican rapper Gera MX pays close homage to the boom-bap sonics of his forefathers. His 2014, studio album No Veo, No Siento was nominated for the Record of the Year award by Ritmo Urbano magazine. In 2017, he released his fourth full length album Los Niños Grandes No Juegan. He’s also known for the history-making hit “Botella Tras Botella.” Immediately after breaking domestic streaming records, the ranchera-rap fusion became the first regional Mexican single to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as it garnered hundreds of millions of streams across global platforms.

4. Santa Fe Klan
Sana Fe Klan is considered as one of the best Mexican rappers of all time. Known for adopting genres like Cumbia and Mexican el Rap in his music, he spent most of his childhood in a small town called Santa Fe, which inspired him to adopt it as his stage name. He was also part of the group called Santa Fe Klan that formed in 2013. But after it disbanded in 2017, he continued as a solo artist under the same name. He then released the regional hit solo album Bendecido in 2019 and collaborated with Lefty Sm on “Necesidad” in 2020. 5. Aleman
Aleman is a Mexican rapper from Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur. Alemán started his career as part of rap group Doble Rima before gaining notoriety as a solo act. He is recognized for the popular singles “La Doble Rimaldita,” “Rap Phenomenon” and “Por el Pacífico.” A 2017 article on Mexican rap by Noisey France which highlighted his collaboration with Yoga Fire, “Chapo Guzmán”, was later mentioned in a Red Bull promotional piece stating him to be “considered one of the best Spanish-language rappers”

6. Neto Peña
Neto Peña is a Mexican rapper from Guadalajara who began making music while living in Nuevo Laredo at the age of 13. His music video for the song “Sex No Love” was watched more than 100 million times on his YouTube channel. His other popular songs include “Nada Me Va a Importar” and “No Llegare (Remix).”

7. MC Davo
Mexican rapper MC Davo is known for speedy raps and head-bobbing production which have made him an underground star in the Latin rap scene. 8. Snow Tha Product
At the age of 19, Snow Tha Product began taking music seriously and decided to pursue a career as a rapper. She adopted her name from Disney’s character Snow White. Initially using the name “Snow White”, and then add it along with “the Product”, and then changed it into her new moniker as “Snow Tha Product”. After recording a number of songs in Spanish, she caught the attention of Mexican artist Jaime Kohen. They recorded a collaboration song, titled “Alguien,” which became popular in Mexico and appeared on Kohen’s album Fotosíntesis. Her American fans may also know her when in 2013, she signed a record deal with Atlantic Records, and released the singles “Holy Shit” and “Drunk Love”, as well as her mixtape Good Nights & Bad Mornings.

9. C-Kan
C-Kan is known as one of the best Mexican rappers of his generation. Inspired by Cypress Hill and Control Machete, C-Kan began rapping as a teenager, delivering hard-edged tales about his experiences with gangs, drugs, and violence. His first mixtape, Get Money, arrived in 2006, followed by Siluetas del Rap in 2007. He became popular in 2012 through his success on social networks, with his demo “Voy Por El Sueño De Muchos” (2012) “Classification C, Vol. 1” (2014). “Vivo La Vida Cantando” is the title of the first single from his second album, entitled Clasificación C. He’s also worked with artists such as MC Davo, Don Dinero, Don Cheto, Lil Rob, T Lopez, Chingo Bling, Baby Bash, SPM, King Lil G and 50 Cent, MC Magic, Pipo Ti, and Sick Jacken.

10. LEFTY SM
LEFTY SM is a Mexican rapper that debuted in 2019 with his debut album, Avion De Papel. Lefty has also released four volumes of his street album series “Gangland”. He was featured in URB magazine’s “Next 1000”.

11. Canserbero
Canserbero is a Venezuelan MC. He is also known for his participation in the rap duo CAN + ZOO along with Lil’ Supá, also known as Zoo. He also recorded two solo albums “ Vida ” (2010) and “ Death ” (2012). The rapper had conquered the Venezuelan national music scene and had a legion of fans abroad, especially in Spain, where he lived and worked for a while. Unfortunately, Canserbero died on January 20, 2015 after jumping out of the window of an apartment located on the 10th floor of a building in Maracay. Charles Ans is considered one of the best Mexican rappers out there. He pushes the envelope of Latin rap with his mix of classic hip-hop and down-to-earth lyricism. His debut came in 2013 with the album Sin Maletas. Later came hits like “Smile” (2015), “Ataraxia” (2016), and “Sui Generis” (2018 ). 13. Dharius
Nuevo Leon rapper Dharius established himself as a founding member of Cartel de Santa. The video and song “Me Alegro de Su Odio” was the last composition he made with Cartel de Santa before transitioning to a solo act. Despite establishing themselves as a live presence — and later, through early and savvy use of the internet — it took until 2003 for the group to sign to RCA and issue their self-titled debut album. Aczino is regarded as one of the best Mexican rappers of his generation. The Mexican battle rapper is best known for being crowned the winner of Red Bull’s Batalla De Los Gallos in both Spain and Mexico. 18. MC Magic
MC Magic was born in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico and relocated to Phoenix, Arizona when he was 5 years old. He started rapping and singing, both in English and Spanish and made a name for himself in the American Southwest with his slick and smooth hip-hop productions, sometimes referred to as “Latino hip-hop ballads.” He dropped his debut album called Don’t Worry in 1995. His third album, a sequel to his chart-topping album Magic City, charted at #8 on the Top Heatseakers chart. He also released a single called “Million Dollar Mexican” in 2014 before taking a hiatus.
