Indie-Pop Australian-Thai artist Gabe Watkins drops new single “Blue Skies”

When skies are blue, they might not always be bright… experience a different shade of blue in Blue Skies, a new single by Gabe Watkins

‘Blue Skies’ is the 2nd release single by an Indie-Pop Australian-Thai artist, Gabe Watkins. After the his debut, One Summer, Gabe still choose to collaborate with the same accomplished producer, Peerapon ‘Toon’ Iamjamrat from the band Three Man Down. Together, they put out a cut-deep meaning into this latest pop release, while still maintain its friendly and catchy tune.

The single describes a relationship that gradually manifest into more problems. It talks about a couple that stays together physically, but are mentally apart. They are caught up in a situation where both are looking for a silver lining where there is none. The bright blue skies turns dark, the love turns blue, the tears turns sunlight blurry. In the end, the skies aren’t so bright after all.

Gabe Watkins is an Australian-Thai indie-pop solo artist with a distinctive voice. The inspired young man has been brought up having an admiration for pop rock and alternative music. After finishing high school, taking a gap year at 19, he decided to fully immerse himself into the music world and started to intensely produce music pieces, and finally released his first official track ‘One Summer’. For this piece of his career launching moment, he has Toon’ Iamjamrat from the band Three Man Down (one of the most famous bands in Thailand at the moment) served as a producer, refining every detail to accentuate Gabe’s talent as an artist.
