Jets to Badlands delve on their new single Chameleon, creative tastes, musical influences & more

Jets to Badlands-2

Great to have you on Xttrawave. Please, introduce yourself.

We are Jets to Badlands and we are an Indie Alternative Rock duo from outer space, inspired by the spectrum of sound through time. We are especially intrigued with all of 90s and future rock.

What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?

We are not from this world, but we love this thing you call music. Our chosen path was to possess creative musicians (Mark and Rod) and use them, so we can explore human art and expression. We can use your bodies as vehicles, to dive into your reality, with our technology. Essentially, we can drive you, and experience your human interactions. Such as, love, happiness, birth, death, and heartbreak, like a simulation, if you will. Our technology also allows us to acquire your human talents such as music, art and creativity, which we love about your kind. Our creative capabilities were lost long ago, due to our advanced evolution and body integration with technology.

Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?

Our debut single is called “Chameleon” and is a break up song written by Mark and Rod, which portrays a human experience of a broken relationship and the vulnerable emotions that surface.

What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?

Our music is otherworldly. We are possessed/controlled by aliens. They command us to dissect the dichotomy of every musical phrase, note, lyric, fill, melody, space and vibe. We do not have barriers or boundaries. We do not have prejudices. And we do not fear making mistakes. Mistakes are how all beings in our universe learn and grow. Our genre is alien rock.

Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?

Our influences are every artist since the dawn of time. However, we love your world’s 90s’ indie alternative, with pop sensibility. Nothing is off the table tho. We are explorers.

Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

We were recently featured on an “Unsigned Showcase“, who did an excellent job reviewing our debut single.

How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?

Balance comes with maturity, which is why the aliens chose Mark and Rod. Both accomplished businessmen and creatives, who can navigate life with aplomb, class and style. Which is why we chose them for this special assignment. They’re cool dudes too.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

For us, its always about the song. Does the song have a vibe? If it does, keep tweaking it and mold it; keep working at it and adjust it. Try new things and experiment with it. See it till the end and finish the track. You’re not a songwriter until you complete a song and release it.

If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

Our message is Love. Love your life, love the music, love the art and creativity you humans still posses, unlike our species. And most important…love the humans you are with. Relationships and love is what all beings of this universe need to embrace. Nothing good gets done without it.

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

We are working with the aliens so that their message can be delivered through us. We don’t know anything more than that, but it’s huge for the survival of mankind. What we do know is that we have a lot more material to come and we are committed to bring our message of musical unity to mankind.Jets to Badlands-3
