JoeJas is back with a song off his fourth album Gaps & Nomads. Detailing the leaving of Four Wing Island (the previous project) and being Nomad looking for somewhere new in a world he’s trying to navigate. Off This Release we now have a video for Lax!
This song is a lowkey Smooth Hip-Hop cut. With sounds reminiscent of the Neptunes’ Drop it like it’s hot or Clipse Mr. Me Too. With its minimal Melody but active percussion and booming kick.
We also get an amazing visual to accompany this song with which JoeJas has directed, shot and edited a feat that comes to him so easily, as we can see through his wacky ideas being bought to life. It feels as if you are trapped in a cartoon with the looney tunes style opening followed by the chorus with everyone being under water and Spongebob’s head bobbing over the lyrics. Really making it feel like you’ve traveled to bikini bottom.
