Great to have you on Xttrawave. Please, introduce yourself.

Hi my name is Victor but I’m usually known as Liam wonder. I am from Cuba but I Live in USA.

What made you want to become an artist and make music?

When I was at university, I participated in a festival for amateur artists, where I sang for the first time. I remember it was a song by Luis Fonsi, the song was called “Viviendo en el Ayer”. Seeing the reaction of the public after I have sung, I started to feel more love for wanting to get more moments like that. It was incredible. They were the best 2 minutes on stage in my entire life. From that moment on, people started listening to me and I started writing my own songs. It didn’t take long for many people to identify with me and my music.

Can you tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?

Recently, I released an album called 24 hours. Apart from being my first official album, it is a collection of many feelings. All the stories told are real and have diverse types of musical genres. Each song on the album was written at a different time to my life. I would have liked the album to have twenty-four songs. I remember that I was going through an incredibly sad moment when I wrote the first one song. That is why it bears that name. And then I finished creating the song timeline where you can only understand what I was really going through in my life when you listen to each song in the correct order.

How would you describe your music style? And what’s your creative process when you write new music.

My music style is quite different. I love mixing genres and sounds. I like romantic music although currently I am working on songs of the urban genre. I don’t like vulgar or discriminatory lyrics. I love writing songs with a low BPM because I think that this way, people will have time to reflect and learn what message I am transmitting. I know how to play the guitar and the piano. This makes me always feel like wanting to mix it in every song. Sometimes, when I’m not driven by a specific situation or emotional state, it’s hard for me to write and create music. This is because I am very sentimental. Always, I start writing the chorus, then I look for chords and finally I try to do my best on the verses to complete each song.

Describe your favorite and least favorite part about being a music artist.

Being an artist requires a lot of mental strength. Rest time is essential for things to go well for you in this industry. I admit that some people who despite having a hard and constant job remain calm in their minds, have the power to control everything around them. For what leads them always or almost always to be successful. In this process my favorite part is when people mention me, they text me saying “I love your music” or when I do a Show, I feel the good vibes and see how they sing my songs. But I hate it when I don’t have time to dedicate myself to the rest of the things. This life demands a lot from everyone.

Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?

like I’m a hispanic singer, I have always been influenced by a specific artist. His name is Dalex, he is from Puerto Rico. But I also really like Reik, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, María Becerra, etc.

How do you balance your music with other activities like work/ hobbies?

It really is difficult to achieve an exact balance between making music and other things. When you are passionate about music, your body and your heart want to do only what you really like, but your mind wants to do other things to try to maintain harmony with the world.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

Music is not a game, being an artist is not just showing off on social networks saying that you sing. If you want to be successful, discipline yourself, if you want to get what you want, you must be constant, believe in impossible things because they are not, they only get more difficult. But never stop dreaming. The “Law of Attraction” does exist

If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

An artist is not an artist without fans, so I will always thank each person who invests the most valuable thing that he has in the life, time, to listen to at least one of my songs. I will always be grateful to everyone because throughout this time I have learned from them. fans are the link that closes the real chain of an artist. a real artist shine by his fans. I want to say “thanks”

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

In this year 2023 I have a lot of expectations. New projects are coming. New releases and new ways of working. I always get carried away by what people like, I just keep my mind and my heart open with what I feel. I’m preparing a lot of music with other artists. I think that this year will be the most important of my life in music.
