Music Review: EDVANZD – Move
EDVANZD proves to be one of the heaviest hitters in the no-rules arena of rap. His charismatic style is enough to penetrate ear drums and send the audience into roars.
The high-spirited rapper doesn’t have to yell the words on his latest single “Move” in order to stir the crowd—his conviction is the heartbeat of his mighty sound. With a swelling fanbase and constant stream of musical fans who desire such breathtaking raps, EDVANZD positions himself as a well-polished artist among his peers.
In the recent past, we’ve seen the likes of artists such Logic and Joyner Lucas who are duly noted for their fast flows and even come together to perform on their single “ISIS (ADHD)“. With EDVANZD, he relies solely on his amazing verbal agility and wraps his voice around a supremely accelerated sample.
Maybe to fast for the average listener, EDVANZD zooms past the verses and leaves a blazing trail of fire rhymes and smoky metaphors. True hip-hop fans will see the artist as cool-headed and audacious with the growing ability to integrate multiple elements into his work.
But things only get more heated, when the rapper lands on the chorus. He lets everything loose and punches in a catchy hook that sounds massive. EDVANZD stretches his voice without limits, something that noticeably seems to have been mastered over time. This creates a brilliant dynamic within the mix as the artist changes his pace accordingly.
For sure, the hook stands out to be an important factor that gets the audience moving on the dancefloor and break a sweat, but nothing prepares them in getting a hold of the menacing lyrical verses; much like holding on for dear life. “Move” is quite the upbeat track, and places the artist in a position to discover his greatest strengths with grit and intensity, allowing his fiery energy to flow with clear emotion.
