I go by the name Salute Tese. The name is original and a unique one that nobody has. Also, I have a lot of respect in places I go that people do not.
What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?
Music filled a void, it became my escape. I was very lonely person and my love for music grew as I mimic others to fill the empty space in heart.
Nobody could understand my situation because at that age 13, nobody knew about my situation but I grinded through it. Music is my passion, it was there when I had nobody, it’s a part of me, that’s how I know it’s my chosen path.
Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?
My new music is amazing. It’s something that a lot of people can gravitate to. Its authentic and brings good vibes. It’s something that you’ve never heard before (African drums and rhythm blended with real rap) if you are that curious on the 11/11/2019 be among the first to listen since pre order starts. When you listen to this EP you will have a full visual of what I am saying, it will mentally take you to a different scenery.
What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
My music is unique because of its instrumentations and it composition. When you hear my tracks, you instantly have a complete visual. I would describe my music as “infcetious music,” real music you can feel in your soul.
Do you play any instruments? And why do you love it?
I don’t play any instruments.But I plan to learn guitar soon.
How is your creative process when recording music? And what makes a good recording session?
What makes a good recording session is the energy, being able to create a vivid image on a blank canvas. I’m very creative, that’s why I like the type of music I’m creating because it shows my creativity and versatility
Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?
My biggest music influences include Tupac and Bone Thugs N Harmony. They helped me through a lot of situations. I would like to collab with Chris Brown, Kevin Gates, and Post Malone.
Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
This project “The AfroUSA.” Shoutout to Yaa Flow for featuring on this project, my international manager Don Twix, My producer Samuel G, my manager in the USA, Flames. Shoutout to my brother Fonzo and my support team Without them none of this will be possible not forgetting EastIndy ya heard me.
How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
I balance my music by making sure vacations are nicely planned.
What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Always believe in yourself. Stay consistent, and be the best you that you can be.
If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Without the fans, none of this would be possible. I try to give my fans the best version of myself through my music, and at my shows. I love my fans.They should expect fireworks from me
What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects or tours?
I will be touring Africa early next year and the purpose is to raise funds to help the needy and the orphanage. This is Salute Tese first international project and I will need your support by purchasing my EP AfroUSA when it is released.
