Please introduce yourself
Hey there, my name is Jordan lake I am originally from North Carolina but I currently reside in Las Vegas Nevada!
What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path.
Honestly music has always been a part of my life. Growing up I got to see firsthand my mom being part of a gospel group, and always traveling. During high school I was always involved in talent shows and literally singing everywhere. During my senior year of high school I got the opportunity to be featured on the TV show American Idol… That eventually opened up a lot of doors for me… And that was my first start on a different level
Tell us about your new music-
We just released my brand new single “Neon Nights” which is off of the upcoming album also called “Neon Nights” . It’s an upbeat mysterious pop song about finding yourself in dark times and overcoming obstacles.
How would you describe your music-
Pop, definitely with some 80s influences. I’ve always been inspired with music from that decade. And I’m doing my own little twist on it. Lyrically we go over a lot of different topics
Who are your biggest musical influences and who is some of your dream collaborations-
I’ve always been inspired by Billy Idol, George Michael, Tears for Fears just to name a few. Honestly I’d love to work with Kelly Clarkson, pink or even Imagine Dragons!
What has been your most proudest moment in your musical career so far.
Probably recording this entire upcoming album. It took me a few years to finally find a producer that understood my vision and believed in me 100%. Gabe Lopez has done that for me… He gets me he understands the vision!!
What do you do in your free time?
I am a huge music vinyl collector! I love shopping throughout the city finding collectors items nostalgia
What advice would you give aspiring musicians
Be you, don’t change for what a record label want you to be. Or what people think you should be! Do you watch deep down inside of your soul.
If you had one message to give your fans what would it be?
Honestly, I just wanna say thank you for all the love and support that I’ve gotten throughout the years… A lot of you have been there since day one… Thank you for still sticking around and joining me on this crazy journey.. trust me I have a lot more coming for you, I am not going anywhere!
What’s next for you any upcoming projects?
Well, I’m looking forward to the album release this summer… And we will probably release a few more singles… I’m always creating I’ve even started working on the next record already ha ha
