    FRIEDRIICH-2

Frederic Prat artistic name is FRIEDRIICH. He was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain. When he was a kid, he was always singing Britney Spears, Shania Twain and The Spice Girls during car rides with his closest ones. Pop culture was in his daily life for as long as he can remember and it makes him feel something that he is not able to express by himself.

The second single of the EP is Don’t Blame Me and you can listen to it right here.

It is a pop-rock ballad about destructive relationships and emotional walls with a lot of electric guitar and it is one of the catchiest songs of the EP. His main inspirations for this song are hope is a dangerous thing for women like me to have – but I have it from Lana Del Rey and Teen Idle from Marina. The track was released on December 11th and it was followed up by a music video the 8th of January which you can watch here.

The music video wants to give visibility to the LGBT+ community, so he collaborated with Natalia, a trans woman, to represent his partner. He wanted to show the talent, the passionate acting and break social schemes together. He thinks it is necessary to normalize our reality and educate people.

The debut EP is already almost finished and it is furnished of boundless pop, resembling an elastic bubble gum, even bringing together sounds of house and electronic music to a pop proposal.

He found his passion in music because of his favorite musicians: Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Marina and Halsey. This is the main reason he began to do singing lessons for the last few years. He got in touch with a producer in Barcelona whose name is Sergi A. Lázaro. He has been the person who helped him with the whole process of shaping the debut EP.

Considering that he has never been able to demonstrate his feelings to his closest relationships this is the most healing process he has ever experienced. He thinks his music can be very relatable to people out there that are being criticized because they cannot express themselves properly or being intimidated because people think that they don’t have emotions. The other hot topics he wrote about are overthinking, anxiety, pride and loss, but these you will see them later this year.
