Big Sean got to sit down with Jen DeLeon for an interview and talk about his No. 1 album, “Detroit 2”. Big Sean delves on rediscovering himself, brokenness, the story behind the intro of the album, overcoming insecurity & doubt, demons he had to overcome and much more.

Undoubtedly, “Detroit 2” is all about him re-evaluating where he felt the best parts of himself had gone, and how he rediscovered them again. He mentions ways he got lost in all the music success and never finding the time to reflect on his thoughts and emotions. The result was him ending up being unsure of what he thought or who he was.

“Detroit 2” is the fifth studio album by American rapper Big Sean. It also serves as a sequel to the 2012 mixtape Detroit. The album features guest appearances from Eminem, Royce da 5’9″, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, and Nipsey Hussle, among others.

Detroit 2 is Big Sean’s finest work because it’s confident and consistent, the product of years of trying out flows and bouncing verses and ideas off veterans, as well as quality of life improvements the rapper pursued in the three years since his the 2017 album, I Decided., and Double or Nothing, his December 2017 project with Metro Boomin.
