Cordae released his sophomore album From a Bird’s Eye View on January 14. The album serves as the follow-up to his 2019 debut The Lost Boy. His debut album boasted collaborations with Chance The Rapper, Anderson .Paak, and Ty Dolla $ign. It earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album.
The album comes 2 years after Cordae’s debut and the expectations for the rapper are just as high.
Featuring appearances from Lil Wayne, H.E.R., Lil Durk, Gunna, Nas, and Stevie Wonder, Cordae’s second studio album sees the former YBN member joined by some great company. The previously released tracks “Super” and “Sinister,” both of which received official music videos, are featured on the new project.

From a Birds Eye View seemingly ushers in a new era of Cordae’s career—he has dropped the YBN from his name, launched his own label, and has been collaborating with artists that he has looked up to.
During a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the YBN affiliate was asked how the “Champagne Glasses” collaboration with Stevie Wonder came together for his latest album. As Cordae was looking back on his experiences with the 71-year-old legend, he revealed he was forced to lie to Wonder at one point.
On Friday (January 7), Cordae released “FABEV Freestyle” a four-and-a-half-minute lyrical exercise over Kendrick Lamar‘s “The Heart Part 4,” which itself was a warm-up to Kendrick’s 2017 album DAMN.
