“Super Gremlin” is a song by Kodak Black which was released on October 30, 2021. It was part of the Sniper Gang label compilation Sniper Gang Presents Syko Bob & Snapkatt: Nightmare Babies, a Halloween-themed project. But the song was also added on Kodak’s fourth studio album, Back for Everything, because of how well it performed on the charts. The ATL Jacob-produced track peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified platinum.

“Super Gremlin” is a diss track towards Kodak’s longtime friend and label mate Jackboy. The song came about when the two rappers made cryptic social media posts about each other. Kodak accused Jackboy of being jealous of his success, which led to problems between the two. Jackboy fired back saying that Kodak never even visited Haiti despite repping the country’s culture regularly, and even serves as a “federal agent” in exchange for immunity through Donald Trump. The former U.S. president was Kodak’s saving grace when he was incarcerated.
The music video shares in the darker holiday themes with shots of Kodak in different locations, wearing crime scene tape, getting hype in a padded room, and laying up with a women dressed in a costume complete with her lips sewn shut.
“Super Gremlin” also samples the song “Errror (Yeah, We Could Be Superstars)” by How To Loot Brazil.
In response, Jackboy released “Don’t Force My Hand“. On the track, Jackboy shares his message to keep your circle close and avoid any unnecessary beef. The two songs became their biggest hits since their beef started.
Jackboy spoke about the falling out with DJ Akademiks and accused Kodak of coming up with false theories to explain the beef. The rapper also denied owing Kodak one million dollars. “That’s where part of the hatin’ sh*t [comes from],” Jackboy explained. “He trying to make it seem like it’s always some new sh*t, it’s the beef, it’s the money, it’s h*es, it’s always some new sh*t. You just finding some sh*t that you can make fans stick with.”
