‘Something I’ve Felt Before is due to be released on August 13th, 2022
American music artist Michael Augustine has officially announced the title and release date of his brand new album, ‘Something I’ve Felt Once Before’.
Following other successful releases, the album marks the start of another year of music for the pop artist – who has seen substantial growth on Spotify and Soundcloud in recent years.
Renowned for his popular, experimental tracks, Augustine is known for producing singles that speak to its listeners in ways that no one ever has before. Released on August 13th 2022, the album will contain ten songs – with the aim to not only provide music to his avid listeners, but also heal them.
“It has always been my aim is to explore beyond the confines of today’s definition of pop, and this album is no exception” says Augustine.
“Making music really does bring me such peace and happiness, and releasing it to the world allows me to help others feel and experience the same feelings – whether that’s pain, love, longing, beauty, or wonder.”
“With ‘Something I’ve Felt Once Before’, listeners will start to really feel things on an emotional, spiritual, and physical level. Each song has its own unique meaning, and aims to help people forget where they are in this world, even just for one moment – and takes them on a journey to true healing and peace.”
Taking inspiration from Charlie XCX, iris, Flume, Lykke Li, and many others, Augustine has taken modern pop music way beyond its boundaries – somehow managing to intertwine raw emotion with sound, within every track.
“It’s something I’ve always felt is within me, and is my purpose – to share my musical experience with others. To me, music is a series of beautiful colors and feelings – it’s a getaway, an escape. That’s something I want people to feel, almost like they are being transported away to an entirely different dimension.”
With haunting vocals and instrumentals throughout, listeners won’t be able to get the infectious, deep sounds of his songs out of their heads this summer. Each new track has its own unique sound, yet remains synonymous to Augustine’s style – such as ’22’, ‘Florida’s Lullaby’ and ‘Realization’.
“Some of my most favorite tracks on the album are Light at the End of the Tunnel (Interlude) and Something I’ve Felt Once Before. They’re really special to me, because of the meaning behind them, and I hope that will come across to my listeners when they hear the effervescent beats and tempos. Above all else, too, I just can’t wait to hear the feedback from my listeners – and I hope they get the same experience I do.”
