Forever Friday-2

Great to have you on Xttrawave. Please, introduce yourself?

Forever Friday , I am a artist/songwriter from Dallas ,TX. Forever Friday came from my love of horror movies , I was born on the 13th so I always felt a connection with the FridayThe13th movies.

What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?

Watching the Biggie Hypnotized video when I was 5 sparked the fire for me to be a artist. Growing up In the south , music is a huge part of the culture so I was surrounded by constant.

I knew it was my chosen path when I started writing poetry at the age of 6. Putting words together just came easy to me.

Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?

My single “Ghosts” will be featured on my upcoming EP “Thank God It’s Friday”. Ghosts is about people who come in your life when things are good but disappear when you are down and out. They go Ghost.

What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?

I feel my music is unique by the content I’m speaking on and how I deliver it . Most of my music is upbeat and melodic but if you listen to the words it can be dark.  I feel my genre would be a big mix of several genres. R&B – Hiphop- Alternative- with a dark twist to it.

Do you play any instruments? And why do you love it?

I played the drums when I was younger.

Growing up , I was heavily influenced by 90s R&B and souther rappers. I would definitely want to collab with Trippie Redd & Billie Eilish . Drake & The Weekend as well.

Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

Writing a song with a songwriter that goes by the name of “Kaydence”. She wrote 7 rings for Ariana Grande and just recently signed with RocNation.

How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?

There is no balance unfortunately. This is what makes being a artist the most difficult.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

Don’t work with anyone who doesn’t believe in you the way you do. Go fast and go hard. Invest as much as possible. Having a good home set up is key.

If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

Hope my music was able to help in any kind of way. We are going up this year!!!

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

I will be dropping my EP “Thank God It’s Friday” in May. Every song will have a music video. My merch will be available in May as well, super dope merch collab with SSB “Successful Since Birth”.
