Ron Guapo-2

Great to have you on Xttrawave. Please, introduce yourself.

Hello, Nice to be here. I go by Ron Guapo. I am an up-and-coming rap artist. My artist name came from a piece of my first name which is Karron and Guapo because I am trying to get to the money. I am from the Southside of Chicago, Englewood area.

What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?

I got into music because it helps me to channel my anger in a positive way. I have always been a busy body; I love to dance and rap. My grandfather was a Chicago signed artist and my Uncles also rapped and did music.

Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?

Well, I currently have a single out called BAG. It is playing on all streaming platforms as well as YouTube, sound cloud, and radio uncut international’s West Coast station. I plan to drop a full project sometime this year. I have plenty of songs. I am just focusing on my single first.

What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?

What makes my music unique is I like to story tell about real life instances, oh and I like to turn up as well. I free style a lot, I rarely write it is just simpler for me. Others consider it a gift. I just flow and it is a hit! I am just a cool rapper. My music is Rap, Hip Hop, Pop if I had to categorize it, but really you cannot box me in.

Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?

My musical influences to name a few are: Lil Durk, XXXtentacion, King Von, and Juice WRLD. I would LOVE to collaborate with anyone who is interested in working with me I just like a good vibe. But Kid LaRoi or Polo G would be dope.

Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

I am proud to be able to express myself, period. Through making my own rhymes, videos, and more. I was especially excited to hear myself streaming, when I first heard it I cried honestly.

How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?

At times it is hard to find balance. I love to rap! So sometimes I am just off alone thinking of what is next. But I love spending time with my family, eating, watching TV or playing games. I also make time for schoolwork, although, I am distracted most times, but I try my best with all that I do.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

The advice I would give an inspiring musician would be NEVER give up, stay focused and keep it moving. With God all things are possible.

If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

The message I would say is thanks for the support and love. If I can reach one person, I am happy to and I hope that you all enjoy the music because I do it for you all as well as my family and myself.

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

What’s next for me is more music on the way, staying focused and growing in my craft. I want to make videos, produce, act, dance and fill stadiums one day. Also, to travel to CANCOON…song coming soon
