Mr MooQ feeds off on zestful energy, looking much further than the coffeehouse for inspiration and turning the minutiae of daily life into bold, 80s-inspired synth pop. His single “Are We Good?” is a pleasant but mild record that features on his Complicated EP.
The song is expansive, integrating a blend of electronic and acoustic sounds gathered from dance music and dramatized with fortifying melodies, making a case for an ecstatic pop tune. On “Are We Good?”, Mr MooQ is excited and preoccupied with someone else and desirous of being in love with that person as much as possible.
