In addition to being one of the present duo in many local events lately, Sixtee Seconds are able to break musical barriers with a direct and natural approach combing minimal sounds with heavy bass lines and unforgettable riffs.

We contacted them on the occasion of latest release.

Great to have you on Xttrawave. Please, introduce yourself.

Hello! Thank you too for having us. We are Alin and Ionut known as Sixtee Seconds and we are from Romania.

What made you want to become an artist and make music?

Out of curiosity at the beginning that came with a desire to see if we can do better together than we could alone. Nowadays it is a necessity to know how to do everything, but certainly the moment when you produce something that you know is made by you 100% and has the impact you want on people is the greatest reward.

Can you tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?

We can say that it did not come from the unknown, we have been friends for many years with Radu (JUST2) owner of the HEAROES label, and we have had attempts in the past to do something together, and it seems that this time we succeeded at the end what we proposed. This release can of course be characterized by the robotic groove and the vocal fragments with a bass roll that makes you want to play it again and again.

How would you describe your music style? And what’s your creative process when you write new music)

We play Tech House but we combine minimal sounds with heavy bass lines and unforgettable riffs. Our creative process happens on our travels, we see so many things that inspiring us, and I write down the ideas. Back home we like to work in a team, to talk, exchange, and from there things get shape.

Describe your favorite and least favorite part about being a music artist.

The energy you get from people after each event it`s the greatest and the impact your work has on them, I couldn’t say that there is a part that we like less, you always have to fill your days with much more than music, and here I mean what you need to know how to do today if you can’t afford to you pay for each service separately, today you have to be a web designer, know how to use all photo and video editing software, media, marketing, content creator, manager, and in addition to that, make time for your health, family and friends.

Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future?

Michael Bibi number one, but of course we can list many here 🙂 but now we are keeping an eye on everything that moves in the Solid Grooves Crew.

How do you balance your music with other activities like work/ hobbies?

With a planner everything written and divided by days, without it it would be very difficult to complete anything, be it production or everything else.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

First think in the beginning is to be patient, to always try to do what you feel regardless of what people think and to collaborate, talk to as many people in the industry as possible regardless of the type of genre.

If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

It will be an unforgettable summer.

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

We are going to spend a week in Barcelona – Andorra where we will meet many friends from the industry, and on our return we will start with the events in Cluj Napoca with the Rave and Line Up Team and then we will be in the mountains with the guys from Snowfest under the brand of Booha Gram for a crazy party at Le Dome Marisel
