1. Marshmello & Bastille – Happier

Marshmello and British band Bastille released “Happier” on August 17, 2018. It reached number two in the UK Singles Chart and number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and is the highest charting single for Marshmello in both the UK and the US.

“When Bastille sent me Happier for the first time, I was taken back. The amount of emotion that you could feel in the lyrics was crazy. As I listened to the song more and more, it reminded me of so many things I’ve been through in my life.” says Marshmello on Twitter.

2. DJ Snake – Taki Taki ft Selena Gomez, Ozuna & Cardi B

French DJ and record producer DJ Snake released “Taki Taki” on 28 September 2018 featuring vocals from American singer Selena Gomez, Puerto Rican singer Ozuna, and American rapper Cardi B.

“Taki Taki” debuted at number one on Hot Latin Songs, and number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Once Ozuna was on the record, we all started doing our outreach to figure out the right next person to put on it. A guy named Dizzy whose on Snake’s team had a chat with Cardi B, while somewhat simultaneously we had a conversation with Selena Gomez, who’s on our label,” says Geffen Records president Neil Jacobson, “John Janick, the CEO of Interscope, heard the rough [mix] of Ozuna, went crazy and brought it to her. So in about a three-month window of bouncing back and forth — you know, one person hearing another person was going to be on it — it all finally came together.”

3. Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa – One Kiss

Scottish record producer Calvin Harris and English singer Dua Lipa released “One Kiss” on 6 April 2018. It reached number one on the UK Singles Charton 20 April 2018, a week after debuting at number three.

The song would eventually top the charts for eight consecutive weeks, becoming the longest-running number one by a lead female artist in the UK this decade, and the second longest-running number one of the century by a female artist behind only Rihanna’s “Umbrella”.

4. Zedd, Marren Morris & Grey – The Middle

Russian-German record producer Zedd released “The Middle” on 23 January 2018 with American country singer Maren Morris and American musical duo Grey.

The song reached the top ten of the charts in the US, the UK, and several other countries. It was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.

“We worked really hard on this record to get it just right and it feels great to be able to finally share it with everyone. It was super fun working with Maren because she is clearly an amazing singer and very talented musician. And, I always love working with Grey because we push ourselves to make the best music possible and the end result is incredible.” says Zedd.

5. David Guetta , Bebe Rexha & J Balvin – Say My Name

French DJ David Guetta released “Say My Name” on 26 October 2018. It features American singer Bebe Rexha and Colombian singer J Balvin and was part of Guetta’s album 7. It notably reached number two on Romania’s Airplay 100 chart.

6. Ellie Goudling & Diplo – Close To Me ft Swae Lee

English singer Ellie Goulding released “Close To Me” on 24 October 2018 with American record producer Diplo featuring American rapper Swae Lee. It was premiered by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 as the “Hottest Record in the World”.

“I was in the studio in L.A. with Savan Kotecha, and we were playing around with the guitar part. It was very simple. I think I sometimes have to create a song out of not taking myself seriously, whatsoever. Otherwise, I overthink everything and I go against myself. I remember singing “don’t let me down,” and being like, “yep, we’ll go with that.” Sometimes you just have to commit.” says Ellie Goulding in an interview with Billboard.

7. Clean Bandit – Baby ft Marina & Louis Fonsi

British electronic music group Clean Bandit released “Baby” on 2 November 2018 featuring Welsh singer Marina and Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. It’s the sixth single from Clean Bandit’s second album What Is Love?.

8. The Chainsmokers – This Feeling ft Kelsea Ballerini

American production duo The Chainsmokers released “This Feeling” on September 18, 2018. It features guest vocals from American singer Kelsea Ballerini and was the seventh single from The Chainsmokers’ second studio album Sick Boy. It is also featured on the deluxe edition of Ballerini’s second studio album, Unapologetically.

The song peaked at No. 4 on the US Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. “Here’s a song we wrote about being yourself and not giving a fuck what people think about you,” wrote Andrew Taggart on Instagram.

9. Silk City & Dua Lipa – Electricity

British-American music duo Silk City and English singer Dua Lipa released “Electricity” as a single on 6 September 2018. It’s included on the complete edition of Lipa’s eponymous debut studio album.

“Electricity” was nominated for Best Dance Recording at the 61st Grammy Awards and peake at No. 5 on the US Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. “The song is a belter — spiritual piano house music like they used to make, she has this deep, soulful voice that harkens back to gospel house. “— Mark Ronson in an interview with The Times.

10. David Guetta – Don’t Leave Me Alone ft Anne-Marie

French DJ and music producer David Guetta released “Don’t Leave Me Alone” featuring English singer Anne-Marie. It’s the sixth single from Guetta’s seventh studio album, 7 (2018).

Clean Bandit released “Solo” on 18 May 2018 featuring guest vocals from American singer Demi Lovato and uncredited pitched vocals from Kamille.

“Solo” was also the most searched song on Shazam in 2018, with 9.1 million tags worldwide and peaked at No. 1 on most international charts and No. 4 on the US Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

12. Benny Blanco & Calvin Harris – I Found You

American producer Benny Blanco and Scottish DJ Calvin Harris released “I Found You” on November 2, 2018. Blanco first mentioned the collaboration in an interview with the British radio show The Vodafone Big Top 40 in August 2018.

14. Martin Garrix – High On Life ft Bonn

Dutch DJ Martin Garrix released “High On Life” a progressive house ballad featuring vocalist Bonn.  It was premiered at the Tomorrowland 2018 music festival in Belgium as the closing song on 29 July 2018. It was also released at midnight on the same day.

“High on Life” is one of the two songs announced by Garrix for release since his last single “Ocean” with Khalid, the other being a collaboration with Justin Mylo that would be released in September.

15. Alan Walker – Darkside ft Au/ Ra & Tormine Harket

Norwegian DJ, Alan Walker  released “Darkside” on July 27, 2018 part of the second chapter of the World of Walker trilogy.

The single is the sequel to ‘All Falls Down” and features Au/Ra and Tomine Harket.

16. Calvin Harris & Sam Smith – Promises

Calvin Harris and English singer-songwriter Sam Smith released “Promises” on 17 August 2018. It reached number one on the UK Singles Chart on 7 September 2018, having debuted at number four two weeks earlier.

It became Harris’ tenth British chart-topper and Smith’s seventh. In the United States, the single became Harris’ twelfth and Smith’s first number-one on Billboards Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart in its 6 October 2018 issue.

17. Hardwell – How You Love Me ft Conor Maynard & Snoop Dogg

Hardwell released “How You Love Me” on December 7, 2018. It features guest artists Snoop Dogg and Conor Maynard.

18. Martin Garrix – Ocean ft Khalid

Martin Garrix released “Ocean on 15 June, 2018 featuring guest vocals by American singer and songwriter Khalid. It came out the same day alongside its music video peaking at No. 5 on the US Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

“Actually a funny thing, I wrote the song on a boat in Amsterdam on a guitar and then we record it and I sent it to Khalid, and I was like “Man, I just had this rough idea for a song, do you like it?” And he was like “I call dibs” and I had no idea what “dibs” was, so I thought “dibs” was a person, I was like “Why the fuck would he call Dibs, who’s Dibs?” And then afterwards, a friend from the US said it was like “I like this song, I want it.” – Martin Garrix in his YouTube show.

19. Steve Aoki – Waste It On Me ft BTS

DJ Steve Aoki released “Waste It On Me” on October 25, 2018 featuring South Korean boy band BTS. It is BTS’s first song entirely in English.

The song peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Aoki stated that the song will feature on his album Neon Future III, released on November 9, 2018.

20. Kygo – Happy Now ft Sandro Cavazza

Norwegian DJ Kygo released “Happy Now” on October 26, 2018 featuring the vocals of Swedish singer Sandro Cavazza. The song became a big hit in Norway and Sweden also charting in a great number of European charts and in Australia.

The song pays homage to now deceased artist Avicii who was a collaborator with Sandro with song “Without You” being one of Avicii’s most popular works.
