Bio: Who is YoungBoy Never Broke Again?

Kentrell DeSean Gaulden also known as NBA Youngboy was born October 20, 1999, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was mainly raised by his maternal grandmother; his father is currently serving a 55-year prison sentence for a robbery gone wrong.

YoungBoy dropped out of school to focus on his music but was arrested because of indulging in a robbery. While he was in the detention center he started writing for his first song. After his release, he started living with his friend NBA 3three. He and his friend were said to be committing crimes to pay for some studio time. From then till now, YoungBoy had many run-ins with the law. He has trapped himself in many legal issues and he seems to be dealing with them one at a time.

During his six-month sentence in a juvenile detention center in Tallulah, Louisiana, he wrote song after song for what would later become his first mixtape, Life Before Fame, released in 2015. From the year 2015 to 2017, YoungBoy released eight independent mixtapes and gradually built a loyal fanbase. NBA YoungBoy churns out new singles at high speed.
