“Surround Sound” is the first collaboration between Atlanta artists J.I.D, 21 Savage, and Baby Tate. It was first teased as a song between J.I.D and DJ Scheme in a tweet on April 5, 2020. “Surround Sound” samples Aretha Franklin’s classic 1965 song “One Step Ahead,” which can be heard in the intro and refrain. Chance the Rapper – Child of God
“Child of God” is Chance The Rapper’s first outing of 2022, after teaming up with Smoko Ono, Yxng Bane and Joey Purp on “Winners” in September last year, and is accompanied by a video shot in the same room as his 2021 release “The Heart & The Tongue”. Longtime Chance collaborators Peter CottonTale and DexLvL co-produced the song with Al Hug, and it’s got the same gospel overtones as plenty of past Chance tracks. The track also features Moses Sumney, and comes as Opiangah and Chance open a new art exhibition at Museum of Contemporary Art, also titled Child of God.

Key Glock – Proud
The late Memphis rapper Young Dolph‘s label Paper Route EMPIRE released a tribute compilation album “Long Live Dolph”. On it features Young Dolph’s protege Key Glock, who decided to honour the later rapper with the song “Proud”. In November 2021, Young Dolph was shot and killed in Memphis while buying cookies for his mother at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies. He was 36 years old.

Latto delivers her latest single “Wheelie” which sees production from Hollywood Cole and features an assist from fellow Atlanta metro area star 21 Savage.
