S3 Apollo x-2

Great to have you on Xttrawave. Please, introduce yourself.

Hi i am S3 Apollo X. I’m from Georgia.

What got you into music and made you realize that it was your chosen path?

Listening to a lot of my favorite songs and albums throughout my life gave me the sudden urge to want to create music. I knew it was for me because when I started I couldn’t stop. Everyday for most of the day I was coming up with something. That’s how I knew making tracks was for me.

Tell us about your new music? And what’s the story behind it?

The track, `Peripheral Vortex’ is the last song from my ep, “Esp’. This song fits perfectly for the concept for the project, which to me was supposed to be the sound for an out of body experience. This track is the conclusion of that experience, and now you are searching for the next one.

What makes your music unique? How would you describe it?

I would describe my music with a mixture between ambient, electro, and electronica. I find mine to be unique because I try to do something new with each track while still maintaining my original sound. I try to do something new with everything I make but I also stay true to my sound.

Who are your biggest musical influences? And any particular artist/band you would like to collaborate with in the future? It’s kinda hard to choose. For the most part it’s a lot of edm producers that have become a huge influence on what I create now, but I also listen to many other genres besides electronic that have inspired me in my production. As to who I want to collaborate with in the future. I’m not quite sure yet.

Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

I think for right now, it was finally completing this album. So far it’s the most amount of effort I have ever put into anything musically. It felt like a weight lifted off of my shoulders. It felt like a stepping stone to my music. And while I don’t have a lot of fans or have a lot of listeners, I still have a drive to keep creating and pushing my creativity and sound to something more.

How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?

Not gonna lie, it’s been very difficult. I made the album during my senior year of high school. It was a struggle trying to do my schoolwork and working on the record. It was pretty stressful at times, but I tried to balance it as much as I could. Keeping my schoolwork as a top priority and music afterwards during each day. It sucks but life happens and you gotta put it on hold sometimes.

What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

My advice would be to stay true to what you want to make. Don’t second guess yourself when it comes to your sound, no matter how many people don’t like it, as long as you do that’s what matters. Keep pushing yourself to become better, stay focused, stay inspired, and you’ll go a long way.

If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

Don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t accomplish, it’s your life not theirs. If you know what you want to achieve or if you know what makes you happy, do it. No matter what it is.

What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

I don’t wanna speak on it a lot, all i can say is, if the vortex is complete, then the sonar must form.
